Building the Infrastructure for Scientific AI

Assembly Intelligence Lab is an independent research lab developing the infrastructure that enables frontier AI systems to reason, discover, and operate in the physical world. Today’s foundation models excel at language and general reasoning, yet remain disconnected from scientific experimentation, laboratory instrumentation, physical laws, and clinical data. Our mission is to bridge that gap through advanced datasets, evaluation frameworks, agentic workflows, and specialized scientific toolboxes.

Rather than building another foundation model, we focus on making existing and future models substantially more capable in science. Our team of scientists, engineers, AI researchers, and domain experts works across chemistry, biology, materials science, and medicine to develop systems that can tackle real-world scientific challenges. If you are interested in collaborating, partnering, or joining our team, we would love to hear from you.
